Privacy Policy

WeHelpThink (“WeHelpThink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of people who visit our website and interact with us. This Privacy Policy explains the information processed through the WeHelpThink website (the “Site”), why it is processed, and the choices available to you.

1. Information You Provide

The Site provides a “Bring Us the Problem” form through which you can tell us about your organization, a problem you are facing, or a potential opportunity.

Information requested through the form may include:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • organization name;
  • website;
  • information you choose to provide about your organization, problem, opportunity, objectives, prior efforts, or other context; and
  • documents or other files you choose to attach.

When you submit the form, the information you provide and any selected attachments are transmitted to and stored in cloud database and private file-storage systems used by WeHelpThink for intake, evaluation, security, recordkeeping, and follow-up.

Do not use the form to send information that you require us to treat as legally privileged, highly sensitive, regulated, confidential under an existing duty, or time-critical unless an appropriate relationship and information-handling arrangement has already been established in writing.

2. Technical, Analytics, and Security Information

When you access or use the Site, limited technical information may be processed automatically by WeHelpThink and its hosting, networking, analytics, database, storage, security, or infrastructure providers in order to deliver, measure, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the Site.

Depending on the infrastructure and services being used, this may include information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • operating system;
  • requested pages or resources;
  • referring page or traffic source;
  • approximate request location derived from network information;
  • timestamps;
  • interaction or analytics events;
  • diagnostic information; and
  • security or error logs.

The public intake form uses anti-abuse controls including request-origin checks, a hidden bot-detection field, submission-timing checks, and rate limiting. For rate limiting, the Site may derive separate one-way pseudonymous identifiers from trusted request-network information and from the submitted email address. These pseudonymous rate-limit identifiers are maintained separately from the RFP submission record. The application does not intentionally store the raw request IP address in the RFP submission record, and rate-limit records are configured for short-term expiration.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”), provided by Google, to measure Site usage, traffic sources, navigation patterns, and performance. GA4 may use cookies and similar technologies and may process technical and interaction information such as browser and device characteristics, pages viewed, referring pages or traffic sources, approximate geography derived from network information, timestamps, and interaction events.

We use GA4 information to understand aggregate Site usage, evaluate traffic and user journeys, identify performance or usability issues, and improve the Site. We do not intentionally configure GA4 to serve targeted behavioral advertising on the Site or use Site analytics for cross-site behavioral advertising.

Google processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy practices.

Essential technologies used by hosting, security, authentication, networking, or infrastructure providers may also operate when necessary to deliver, secure, or maintain the Site.

If WeHelpThink later introduces additional nonessential analytics, personalization, advertising technologies, marketing pixels, or other nonessential tracking, this Privacy Policy and any required consent controls will be updated as appropriate.

4. How Information May Be Used

Information collected through the Site may be used to:

  • respond to inquiries;
  • evaluate potential engagements, opportunities, or requests for proposal;
  • understand the problem or opportunity presented to us;
  • communicate with prospective or current clients;
  • measure and understand Site usage, traffic sources, navigation, and performance;
  • provide, improve, secure, and maintain the Site;
  • detect fraud, abuse, automated submissions, or security incidents;
  • maintain appropriate business and intake records;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • protect our rights and the rights of others; and
  • perform other purposes disclosed at the time information is collected.

We will not intentionally use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing appropriate notice where required.

5. Sharing of Information

WeHelpThink may share information when reasonably necessary with:

  • technology, hosting, analytics, database, private file-storage, infrastructure, security, communications, and other service providers supporting our operations, including Google in connection with Google Analytics;
  • professional advisers, such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, or compliance professionals;
  • appropriately qualified or licensed persons or entities where an engagement requires regulated or specialized participation;
  • parties involved in a proposed or completed corporate transaction involving WeHelpThink or relevant assets, subject to appropriate safeguards; and
  • governmental authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or security.

We do not intend to sell personal information collected through the Site or use it for targeted behavioral advertising.

6. Confidential and Sensitive Information

Submitting information through a public website does not by itself create a confidential, fiduciary, attorney-client, adviser-client, consultant-client, investment-adviser, or other professional relationship.

Until WeHelpThink has expressly agreed in writing to an engagement and any applicable confidentiality terms, you should not submit information that you require us to treat as legally privileged or subject to a particular confidentiality obligation.

Information submitted for evaluation will be handled with reasonable care, but an engagement relationship exists only when expressly established in writing.

7. Data Retention

WeHelpThink retains intake information and attachments for only as long as reasonably necessary for evaluation, follow-up, legitimate business and recordkeeping purposes, dispute prevention, security, or compliance with applicable law.

Analytics information may be retained according to the settings and retention periods configured for the relevant analytics service and as reasonably necessary for Site performance analysis, trend analysis, recordkeeping, and business purposes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the relationship involved. Short-lived anti-abuse and rate-limit records are maintained separately and configured to expire on a substantially shorter schedule than ordinary intake records.

8. Data Security

WeHelpThink uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information being processed. Public intake data is handled through server-side validation, and submitted attachments are stored in private storage rather than a publicly accessible file bucket.

No website, transmission method, or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information about you, which may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about certain processing activities, as well as rights to opt out of certain uses.

Where such rights apply, WeHelpThink will provide a reasonable method for submitting and authenticating requests and will respond as required by applicable law.

Privacy requests: Privacy requests may be submitted through the Bring Us the Problem form. Begin the problem field with “Privacy Request:” so the request can be identified and handled appropriately.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for businesses, organizations, founders, professionals, and other persons seeking information about WeHelpThink. It is not directed toward children under 13, and WeHelpThink does not knowingly seek personal information from children through the Site.

11. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site may link to websites or use services operated by third parties. WeHelpThink is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties acting under their own terms and privacy practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as our Site, technology, business, or legal obligations change.

The effective date at the top of the policy will be updated when a revised version is published.

Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner when required.
